What do you think about setting up a blog as a virtual portfolio? Good idea? Bad? I know there are special websites for virtual portfolios but what about a blog?
I think deviantart.com is a good site for uploading images onto. The problem with a blog is that your files aren't as secure and could be stolen/copied etc. Sites like deviantart watermark your work, and you can make some money from people buying your images! I think there is a nice community on the site too. Well from what I've seen anyway
I think the idea of a virtual portfolio is a very good way of self promotion. when you join the blogosphere you can follow people who's blog you like and get some inspiration and things and that. its lots fun. i think for a designer it is an excellent way to show off your stuff!

totally agree! I'd say it looks quite impressive too... Think it's time we set up ones..once we'll have something good to put in them lol
